We invite you to trials that best suit you so make sure you keep us in the loop with what’s happening in your life by updating your profile in the Social Soup app. If you tie the knot or take up tai chi, update your profile. Don’t forget to connect your Instagram and Facebook accounts to increase your chance of more invites.

Sit tight. When a project comes up that we think you’d like, we’ll email. Don’t worry if this takes awhile, we’re pretty picky about making sure the right people get teamed with the right projects. No cheese testing for the lactose intolerant. That sort of thing.

If your definition of ‘paid’ involves cold hard cash, then no you won’t get paid. However if you see getting paid as having the chance to experience new products, attend events and explore ideas, often before the rest of the world, then yes, we pay very well.

It might be your spam filter, so check your junk folder first. Quickest way to solve this problem is to add Social Soup to your safe senders list. You might also want to update your profile details in the app. This will help us get you on projects that are right for you. If you’re still concerned, drop us a line at projects@socialsoup.com.

Life changes. Whatever happens, make sure you update your details by logging into the app and heading over to the ‘My Profile’ section and letting us know what’s changed in your world. That way we can match you to projects that float your boat (if you’re into sailing, for example).

It’s always sad to see a Souper go, but if you feel we’re no longer right for you, here’s a simple unsubscribe page. Also, there is an unsubscribe link at the end of every email we send.

Now you’ve gone and made us blush. Simply send get them to download the app and create an account.

Connecting your Instagram account to your Social Soup account is an important step that ensures our systems work seamlessly throughout a campaign. It allows our recruiters to get a more visual grasp of what you would bring to a campaign and helps our technology track your campaign posts so that we don’t miss any of your amazing content!

Because Creator’s need to reach a large number of people, Creators must have a public Instagram account so that their posts can have as much impact as possible. We’re also unable to work with business accounts in the Creator space as our campaigns are designed for individuals and we cannot create business partnerships on behalf of our clients.

While we do run a few paid campaigns, for most of our campaigns you’ll receive awesome products. These could be anything from great makeup and yummy new food products, to awesome tech and dishwashers. All the products we send Creators are for you to keep and enjoy forever. And because we’ll only ever ask you to apply for campaigns that we think you’d love, the products we send you should really be up your alley!

After you’ve signed up to Social Soup, you enter our pool of Creators. Every time a new campaign comes up, we dip into this pool to find people who suit this campaign. You’ll hear from us as soon as we have a campaign that matches your unique profile and we’ll be contacting you over our Social Soup app.

We choose Creators based on how relevant we feel they will be to a campaign and that campaign’s messaging. We want to ensure that all of our campaigns have authentic promotion, so campaigns need to fit you as much as you need to fit them. We always look out for healthy engagement rates and quality content but at the end of the day the client always has final say on our Creator teams.

Posting guidelines are the times in a campaign when the client is expecting to see your content. If you miss a posting guideline slightly that’s totally fine, just let us know so we don’t bother you

A requirement of being a Social Soup Creator is that you complete all your campaign missions in the allotted campaign time. If you don’t complete your missions, it will affect your eligibility for future campaigns. We’re pretty reasonable though, so if something comes up that halts you from completing your content requirements, let us know ASAP.

While we’d love to see your posts from our campaigns on your accounts forever, we totally understand if you’d like to clean up your feed. Content from Social Soup campaigns needs to remain live on your social channel for a minimum of 3 months after the campaign closes.

The most common reason you might not be on a campaign is this: time. At Social Soup, we do our best to match you up with campaigns that will not only fit your interests, but also be authentic to your account and audience. So sometimes, a campaign that suits you might take a while to pop up!

At the start of each campaign we’ll let you know when you should expect your pack and we’ll also give you a tracking number to keep an eye on its progress. It’s important to notify the team ASAP if something has happened and you have not received your pack within the timeframe it was supposed to be delivered by. Before your pack is sent we’ll check your address one last time to make sure it’s correct. It’s your responsibility to make sure you’ve updated your account with your correct address. Social Soup will not resend packs that have been sent to an incorrect address.

Keeping your Instagram account connected to your Social Soup account is super important because it’s the only way our system can detect if you’ve posted for a campaign. If you regularly find that your images aren’t recognised in the app, please double check that your Instagram account is still connected.

In order to connect your Instagram account, Social Soup uses a an Instagram plugin that allows you to log in via Instagram, so we can ensure that you own the Instagram you’re claiming to own. The Instagram plugin means that our system never sees any of the sensitive info you input during login and so Social Soup doesn’t have access to it at all – only Instagram does.

Thinking of joining...

There’s no catch. We only ask that you agree to surrender your mortal soul, for now and ever more. No, not really. We give you products to try and only ask for your honest opinion in return – be it good, bad or whatever. Other than that we’re completely cost and obligation free.

Short answer: No. We cross our hearts to never send spam, marketing emails or give your details to third parties. Anytime we have a project we think might interest you, we’ll contact you using the details you gave us when you signed up. You can cancel your membership at any time by emailing us using the form above, unsubscribing or calling us.

Projects & pack delivery

We don’t like letting our community down! Unfortunately though, we just can’t include everyone – We get quite specific when it comes to selecting people for projects. Not to worry! We are continually starting new and exciting projects and there’s bound to be one that suits you; so stay on the lookout for the next invite.

If you’ve been selected for a project but haven’t received anything, there’s a few things to do:

  1. Check you received an email welcoming you to the project – there can sometimes be several weeks between applying for a project and being welcomed (good things take time). If not, hold tight, we’ll get in touch soon.
  2. If you have received a welcome, the likely date of receiving your pack should be mentioned and how we’ll be delivering it (Standard post or courier).
  3. If that date is long past and we’re sending via standard (and usually very reliable) post, the next best step is to check with your local post office. We sometimes find packs being “baby-sat” after a failed delivery attempt (they don’t always leave a card), and it’s worth giving them a quick buzz.
    NOTE: If we’ve said your pack will be delivered via courier, best not to call the post office
  4. Finally, don’t be afraid to drop us a line at projects@thesoup.com.au, mention the project and pack you’re expecting and we’ll look into it further.

If we haven’t sent your pack yet, changing address details is a breeze. Just email projects@thesoup.com mentioning the project you’re involved in and the new address you want us to send to. We’ll sort it out.

Tech problems

It could be your email settings. You usually have the choice to receive emails in either HTML or text only. If you’re set to ‘text only’, you won’t see any logos or links. A handy tip is to open your emails in your internet browser and then click on the links.
